How to Get More Facebook Likes: 7 Easy Steps

More Facebook likes signal to search engines that your material is popular and trustworthy, increasing the likelihood that your page will rank higher in the search results.

Your Facebook fan page or the articles on your blog or website (with the appropriate plugins and apps) can generate likes. Most of these features require a Facebook fan page; I’ve included a link to an article on creating one at the end of this piece.

But how can we increase our Facebook fan base? Let’s look at seven efficient techniques to obtain Facebook likes and generate outstanding content that motivates people to like your stuff.

Promote Your Facebook Page, Of Course! It would be best to let people know that your company or website has a Facebook fan page by promoting it in the same places you promote your other material. Include the URL for your Facebook page on your business cards, prominently link to it on every site page, bring it up in conversation whenever possible, include it in your email signature, etc. Can you market articles? Instead of sending people to your website, why not direct them to your Facebook fan page for a change?

Influence Your Peers – You probably already have some Facebook pals, so why not put them to use for you? Share a message asking your followers to check out your page and give it a like. Having many positive connections can quickly increase your popularity. When you launch a page, having many fans can serve as social proof, encouraging even more people to like the page after seeing that their friends or acquaintances already do so.

Promote Your Page With Facebook Ads Using Facebook’s internal advertising network is a terrific strategy to increase page views. I don’t think this is the same as buying likes because it’s a more organic, specific form of promotion.

Get Involved in Related Groups — Spreading the word about your page and hopefully gaining some new likes can be accomplished by joining and participating in groups related to your expertise.

Twiends is a free service primarily designed to increase the number of one’s Twitter followers. Still, it may also be used to increase the number of Likes on one’s Facebook page and the number of views on one’s YouTube videos.

I don’t know if “incentivized” is a word, but you may entice people to “like” your work by promising them anything in return.

Another way to keep your followers around is to offer exclusive stuff to them, such as videos, in a “fans only” part of your page. Updating your fan page semi-regularly will make it feel like a fantastic private membership club.

Blogs that allow Facebook comments are open to discussion. When you saw “comment on blogs” in the previous sentence, you probably thought, “Really, Paul?” Commenting on blogs? If you want to learn how to obtain more Facebook likes, you should start commenting on blogs allowing comments from your account. Everyone who has commented on this post is probably using Facebook right now.

If you utilize the same strategies you do when commenting on blogs, people will read your thoughtful remarks and visit your Facebook fan page like you would your website. Since you’re not attempting to sell them anything on the landing page—you’re just trying to get free like—and since people are far more eager to visit a page on Facebook than someone’s blog, the conversion rate for doing this and receiving the like should be higher than in a typical blogging case.
