How to Find a Way Through the Barricade in Hogwarts Legacy
A barricade is an obstacle that blocks access to an area or path, typically constructed of brick or other materials like metal and cement. Additionally, borders may block off opposing forces’ advances through walls or ramparts set up as barriers against them.
These example sentences have been selected automatically from various online sources to demonstrate the current usage of the word ‘barricade.’
The Shadow of Time invites players to explore a catacomb with Sebastian to uncover more information about the Imperius Curse while solving two main barricade puzzles as part of their journey.
Using Wingardium Leviosa
Hogwarts Legacy provides players with several intriguing spells, such as Wingardium Leviosa, to discover and utilize. This utility spell allows players to move objects that are too heavy to lift with their wands, such as trunks and other oversized items, using Wingardium Leviosa. Players can utilize this spell during combat as well as exploration or puzzle-solving activities; it should be noted, however, that other attacks, such as Locomotor, may provide more efficient mobility across its massive world.
Players must complete Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1 to unlock this powerful spell. Upon completing this quest, players can purchase Mandrake seeds at Dogweed And Deathcap store located inside Professor Garlick’s herbalism greenhouse and wait 10 minutes until their seeds sprout into Mandrakes; once this timer runs out, they can then head back over to a potted table where a new item called Wingardium Leviosa will appear!
Once they’ve acquired their new item, players can return to the Herbology greenhouse and practice the required wand movement for this spell. When comfortable, they can add it to one of their spells for use during battle or exploration and save a spell slot while adventuring through Hogwarts.
Once players possessing the Wingardium Leviosa spell have obtained it, they can use it to breach the barricade in Feldcroft Catacomb. To achieve this goal, players must first defeat spiders in the first room before using Confringo to clear away webs that block paths between rooms and head towards the center altar to collect Student Journal Entry Document from there – at which point players will notice there is a barred door in the east!
Step two of finding a way through a barricade involves using Accio and Wingardium Leviosa to bring three piles of bones to this door using Accio, thus opening it and continuing your journey.
Using Revelio
Revelio is one of the most useful spells in Hogwarts Legacy, unlockable early and used regularly by players to locate treasure chests, puzzle components, and enemies. Revelio allows them to quickly spot items of interest through walls – especially helpful for collecting Field Guide pages! With such a vast world, Revelio makes finding objects much more straightforward.
After arriving at Feldcroft Catacombs, players will come face-to-face with a sinister-looking barricade that won’t respond to spells such as Wingardium Leviosa or Bombarda. To overcome this barrier, players must bring together three piles of bones scattered throughout the room to a central point; one bank resides on an altar near where Student Journal Entry used to live, and two others in tombs near southern portions. When all three piles have been brought forward and brought before getting all three banks to one central point door gate will open and allow players to proceed with the quest.
Revelio allows players to identify which rooms contain skeleton piles and what glyphs have been painted on them, helping them determine which doors to pull using Accio to open barricades. Once all piles of bones have been brought to the door, Wingardium Leviosa allows players to reach an end platform of the catacomb so they may continue with their quest.
Once players have cleared away the barricade, they will be welcomed by Sebastian Sallow, who will make a cruel joke about Ominis. After leaving this room, players should continue with the quest by dismantling all egg sacs in another area, then return to the foyer through which Fastidio had blocked access and pass his door without being attacked by Fastidio.
Once they pass through a closed door, players enter a small room with 12 egg sacs scattered about on both walls and floors. After clearing all 12 sacs away, players can head to the left side of the foyer to enter the previously barred room.
Using Accio
Accio is an impressive summoning spell, bringing objects directly into your possession and being used to move items from one location to another. This feature can come in handy during many puzzles where transporting something from point A to B requires transportation of some kind – Hogwarts Legacy features several movement-based puzzles where this function may come in handy; Jackdaw’s Cave, for instance, even makes use of Accio in its early story dungeons!
Before further exploring the catacombs, one room contains a barricade that must be cleared first. To do this, use Accio to find and carry a pile of bones from one corner into a ‘doorway’ made entirely out of bones further in the room. Two more piles are scattered about, so use Revelio to reveal their locations before pulling Accio’s handles across tomb symbols from left to right, using Revelio as reinforcements.
You will also encounter a skull door leading to the spider’s lair. Here, the spiders scale with your level and can prove challenging yet not too difficult for Accio to take down. At the back of the room is another wall you can use Accio on, leading to a gear chest in its center.
Once you’ve cleared away the spiders and completed the skull door puzzle, you can open another barricade similarly. Two piles of bones in a nearby room must also be lifted using Accio and transported to the wall for opening.
You may continue your journey once all the bones have been brought to the barricade. Before leaving the Crypt, however, speak to Sebastian first as he offers to teach you Imperio’s Unforgivable Curse spell, which you may or may not accept or decline.
Once you’ve learned this spell, it can help clear away any remaining spiders or enemies in the crypt. Furthermore, Accio can use his magic to solve movement-based puzzles in the tomb, such as summoning platforms in the middle of pits full of Devil’s Snare before carrying them across to the other side using Accio’s carriage system.
Using the Bone Bridge
Hogwarts Legacy’s side quest In the Shadow of Time requires you to accompany Sebastian Sallow through Feldcroft Catacomb in search of a Dark Relic. On your journey, you will encounter various obstacles blocking your way; one such obstruction is an evil-looking barricade that doesn’t respond to Bombarda. You will need three sets of bones to traverse this obstacle safely to form a bone bridge supporting your weight.
Once you’ve collected bones from various locations around the room, look for one set on top of the coffin itself; two piles can be found under its handles; a third in a weak section of wall on the right of the barricaded door where loot may also be available; once that has been accomplished look for an opening in one of the northern walls that you can blast away with Confringo/Bombarda to reveal an entryway for crawling through.
After entering the central tomb, open each of the small graves nearby to collect treasure and bones from each. Four tombs contain treasure; only two include bones you need. When you have collected enough bones from various tombs, use your magic wand to lift and drag them toward bone totems across from them – these totems will act as bridges leading directly to a door on the opposite side of the room.
Continue along your path until you come upon a pit full of Devil’s Grasps; to escape this danger, drop into it with Lumos activated and use Incendio on two braziers nearby to keep them at bay. When you emerge from this pit, you will arrive at another doorway.
This door leads into a room teeming with spiders. To safely dispose of them, use Crucio and Imperio, as Accio is too powerful. Once cleared out, move on to finding the relic; this STEM challenge offers great teaching moments on engineering principles!
