Enchanted Trails RV Park and Trading Post

Vickie Ashcroft recognizes that her Route 66 campground provides guests with an experience they won’t soon forget. She purchased her first vintage camper: a teardrop with matching turquoise 47′ Hudson to create an immersive vintage travel atmosphere.

Campsites

Enchanted Trails RV Park sits along Route 66 in New Mexico and offers guests an exceptional desert camping experience. RVers can enjoy beautiful sunsets over the desert from their RVs while visiting its trading post for food and gifts with a southwestern flair. Additionally, this park provides various activities and attractions, such as a balloon ride and wine tasting, to add an unforgettable element to their trip.

Campground offers 135 RV sites, with 127 pull-thru sites. Amenities include laundry service, free WiFi and water, sewer, and electric hookups for each location. Big rig-friendly park conveniently located close to shopping such as camping stores, ATMs,s and restaurants and offering propane fill-up services if mileage saving is desired.

Kate Ashcroft became immediately entranced with the RV park and trading post when she relocated to Albuquerque in 1998, recalling memories from her youth. Her passion for retro flair shows through in all she does for the property; many customers comment that their experience at her RV park and trading post leaves them spellbound and keeps coming back! Customers rave about how fun the atmosphere of Kate Ashcroft’s property is; many come back because it gives off such an inviting feeling – something customers appreciate and keeps coming back for.

Ashcroft has several projects to add retro charm to her property, such as a vintage trailer exhibit and camper restoration service. Additionally, she plans to start an 18-foot hubcap tree inspired by one in Maine; people have already begun sending in hubcap donations that she intends to use towards making this vision come to life soon enough.

The RV park is easily accessible from Interstate 40, featuring a Loves Travel Plaza at its exit and Camping World just minutes away. There’s even a full-service RV wash on-site seven days a week – Monday through Saturday!

Vickie Ashcroft began collecting vintage campers after purchasing her first teardrop trailer in San Francisco and finding an identical turquoise 1947 Hudson Super Six to match it; as part of her passion project, she has restored and collected over ten vintage campers since. This showcase is just one attraction at this campground!

Visitors to the campsite can also enjoy hiking, horseback riding, and swimming – perfect for travelers visiting nearby national parks and other attractions – in this campground with plenty of restaurants and shops, such as the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.

Pets are welcome at Enchanted Trails but must remain leashed at all times and picked up after defecating. Additionally, guests should be mindful of their noise levels to prevent disturbing other guests and comply with park rules and regulations before arriving. Vintage Trailer Exhibit

Enchanted Trails RV Park, along Route 66 in New Mexico, offers visitors an idyllic campsite that blends cross-country travel with modern amenities. Visitors can travel back in time with a visit to its Vintage Trailer Exhibit featuring six classic RVs open for tours; visitors can experience Camelot-era vibes in Della, a 1959 Spartan trailer; feel groovy in Josephine, a 1969 Airstream decorated with mod flower decals; or get retro with Dot, a 1963 Winnebago sleeping one. In addition to these vintage trailers, Enchanted Trails also features a gift shop and complete laundry facility –

Guests can enjoy the beautiful surroundings that engulf this campground, which has also been featured as a filming location in multiple movies. Situated close to Albuquerque city center and within walking distance of restaurants, museums, shopping, and stunning scenery – it makes an ideal location for family camping – however, pets must remain on leashes at all times.

The site features 115 pull-thru full hookup sites with 30- and 50-amp power, RV supply/propane hookups, a large meeting room, laundry facilities, and RV storage space. There is also a camp store and trading post selling everything from Native American art to RV parts; you might even spot an old-school pipe organ here!

Although RV Park staff members are friendly and willing to assist when needed, customer service skills could benefit the RV park immensely. One particular issue involves its water spigot being approximately 4 inches off the ground and facing downward, making it hard to secure a hose onto it.

This park is well maintained, with lovely vintage trailers for rent at reasonable rates and helpful staff members to provide services. Although located approximately 30 minutes from central Albuquerque, its charm makes the journey worthwhile, if only for its unique atmosphere and vintage campers – prices are competitive, reasonable, and top-notch service!

Location

Enchanted Trails RV Park and Trading Post are located along Route 66 on Albuquerque’s west side, boasting 135 full-service sites and 20 electric/water sites with 30-50 amp power hookup and sewer hose connections for each location. In addition, visitors will find a clubhouse and trading post with Native American crafts, Southwest foods, and Route 66 memorabilia available to purchase – not forgetting its vintage trailer exhibit that has been carefully preserved to maintain its authenticity!

Campground guests are also close to popular attractions like the Route 66 Museum and Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. This region is famed for breathtaking sunsets and desert vistas, perfect for hiking and biking trips, balloon rides, and winery visits!

Ashcroft began collecting vintage trailers when she bought the RV park 29 years ago to bring back cross-country travel from yesteryear and show people what traveling was like back then. She even had these trailers professionally decorated in period style!

The RV Park is accessible from Interstate 40 via the Atrisco Vista Boulevard exit and Central Avenue. Alternatively, you can access it through Loves Travel Plaza nearby the freeway exit. Open Monday-Saturday; dogs allowed but must remain on a leash at all times
