Though Stewart had never written before, he found the process surprisingly therapeutic. He was able to let go of “bad feelings” he experienced as a child while simultaneously reflecting on positive aspects of his upbringing, one highlight being working on set for X-Men.
He was also met with enthusiastic applause when he expressed his wish that there be one more Picard movie, in the form of three seasons with new writers and directors (he wanted one new writer and director for season 3! ). He is particularly proud of his work therein.
